Mr. and Mrs. Robert McMillen’s Wedding Photos
What a day! The wedding was beautiful and went off without a hitch. Debbie looked stunning and Rob was flexing the whole time. Afterwards we stopped by Youngstown’s famous Emerald Diner for some lunch before the reception. It may have been my best favorite experience of 2008.
Everyone met up at the hotel and took cabs to the reception. The venue was beautiful and the food was ready right as everyone arrived. The free alcohol was flowing from 6-11 so everyone had time to get juiced up. DJ Holla was the DJ for the night and it absolutely took the evening to another level.
The pictures will do a better job of describing the madness but it was basically Get Right but everyone was dressed up as opposed to looking like scrubs (on purpose).

Sweatin’ @ High 5 – 10-24-08
Another chaotic night for the Sweatin’ crew. Garret had his laptop stolen around 2 AM and everyone was quite shocked that someone in the Columbus family would do such a thing. About 15 minutes later Cashola was walking down High Street and a crackhead came up and sold him a MACBOOK for $20. Turns out the laptop belonged to Garret, crisis averted! Good things happen to good people.

We Run Columbus Benefit Photos
All the proceeds from the show went to charity and I heard that over $5,000 was raised. Congratulations and thanks to everyone who showed their support. I arrived just in time to see Town Monster and The Back-Up (I also heard people call them The Tristans, not sure which name they actually go by) and they both put on a great show. Afterwards Knave and Roevy murked each and every person there. Rumor has it the party didn’t stop until after 4 AM… Sadly I couldn’t survive that long.

MSTRKRFT @ BoMa – 10-09-08
Where do I begin… First off I have to thank Brooke for hooking everyone up with drinks all night. You were beyond generous and you made everyone have a great time. The rave DJ that played before MSTRKRFT made me wish I showed up an hour later. It was obnoxious music but we enjoyed ourselves regardless. MSTRKRFT came on and the place went nuts. They played for 2 1/2 hours and didn’t slow down for a second. The stage was made up of 22 old school TV sets with tons of visualizations that really complimented the mix. They smoked an entire pack of cigarettes and downed and entire 1/5 of Crown Royal between them. Pretty impressive.
Overall they straight up killed it and I was almost crushed 3 times.

Steve Aoki Photos
Steve Aoki was hands down the best DJ I’ve ever seen play live (lets hope MSTRKRFT can change that here in a month or so). Sugar really didn’t know what hit them. I don’t want to sit here and tell stories the whole time, just check out the pictures and you’ll probably have a good idea what the night was like. It was smokey as hell because of that damn fog machine so over half the pics didn’t turn out. Got a bunch of good ones either way. Thanks to everyone who came out!
Sidenote: I wish you could see me right now. I’m cranking Cut Copy so hard right now. It’s quite difficult to blog and dance while sitting in a chair.

We Be Clubbin! 07-11-08
Last night was… unreal. Apologies to everyone who has my blood on their clothes.
I missed most of envelope because I was downtown with my sister. She is traveling to Panama for a few weeks for work so I had to wish her off (Have a good trip Christina!). I was lucky enough to catch Detox and Johnny Cashola for the dance party. Madness ensued.
I recommend listening to this classic Ice Cube track from 1998’s Oscar Nominated picture The Player’s Club while viewing the pictures.

Get Right Photos 07-04-08
This time the night kicked off a little different than usual. Grimer’s was closed for the holiday weekend so a few of us met over at Jimmy’s/Natalie’s/Kareem’s crib for a little pregame. I wasn’t sure how the night would turn out since it was a holiday weekend and all so I got extra sauced before our departure.
I rode down there and walked in the door around 11:45 and the place was pretty quiet. I ordered a drink and talked for about 30 minutes and next thing I knew the place was full of people. Detox and Cashola kept things grimey as usual and the bar staff was surprisingly ready for the sea of white people. By nights end everyone was either covered in beer or someone else’s sweat. Another successful night at the best dance party in Columbus.
Data Entry: I’m now limiting each post to 50 pictures since sometimes it takes so long for all of them to load. Hopefully that will make it easier on everyone. I’ll post each section right after each other.
We got more bounce in Columbus.
