How Many of You Remember These?

The Power of Preservatives!!!

From the looks of these pictures, you can see that the Happy Meal hasn’t changed much in the past year. The buns are still flat, the fries look delicious (come on, you know you LOVE McDonalds’s fries), and the hamburger patty leaves something to be desired.

But these aren’t pictures of different Happy Meals. These pictures are of the SAME EXACT HAPPY MEAL left out on a counter for 365 days. No mold, no bugs, no nothing. The food still looks moist! Disgusting. Here are some excerpts from the article.

Joann Bruso said: ‘Food is supposed to decompose, go bad and smell foul eventually. The fact that it has not decomposed shows you how unhealthy it is for children.’

Mrs Bruso left the Happy Meal uncovered on a shelf at her home near Denver, Colorado, to see what would happen. She has revealed the results on her blog, in which she gives healthy eating advice to parents.

She said: ‘I had the windows open many times, but flies and other insects just ignored the Happy Meal. What does that tell you, if they can’t be bothered with it? Food is broken down into its essential nutrients in our bodies and turned into fuel. Our children grow strong bodies when they eat real food.

‘If flies ignore a Happy Meal and microbes don’t decompose it, then your child’s body can’t properly metabolise it either. Now you know why it’s called junk food.’

Best Mechanical Bull Ride EVER

The first 40 seconds of this video are irrelevant and not worth watching, but the last 22 seconds are some of the best YouTube has to offer. Pure gold. I would honestly pay money to have been there.

McDonalds Paid 1,000 People To Stand in Line in Japan

OSAKA —Around 1,000 people were paid to join the queue outside the Midosuji-Suomachi branch of McDonald’s for the release of their Quarter Pounder burger in the Kansai area on Tuesday, it was learned on Thursday.

The company has admitted to the fact that around 1,000 people who lined up on Tuesday were compensated, but claims they only made a request for consumer feedback to one of their marketing companies. There are suspicions however that the people were employed to help promote the new product, serving a role known as “sakura” in Japanese.

It is estimated that as many as 2,000 people were lining up outside the McDonald’s store at its peak on Tuesday, and that around 15,000 people in total visited the store during the day, setting a new record for daily sales for one of their stores. But it was learned on Thursday that about 1,000 of the people queuing outside were paid an hourly wage of 1,000 yen and also had their purchase paid for. These people were hired by a human resources company at the request of a marketing company commissioned by McDonald’s Japan.

A McDonald’s Japan spokesman said: “We wanted to know how the service and product quality were on the first day. We didn’t know 1,000 people had been sent to the store.”

Man Has Eaten 23,000 Big Macs In 36 Years

I really wish I there was a picture of this guy and his insides. I’d love to see what kind of shape his body is in.

FOND DU LAC, Wis.—A 54-year-old man says his obsessive-compulsive disorder drove him to eat 23,000 Big Macs in 36 years. Fifty-four-year-old Don Gorske says he hit the milestone last month, continuing a pleasurable obsession that began May 17, 1972 when he got his first car.

Gorske has kept every burger receipt in a box. He says he was always fascinated with numbers, and watching McDonald’s track its number of customers motivated him to track his own consumption.

The only day he skipped a Big Mac was the day his mother died, to respect her request.

The correctional-institution employee says he doesn’t care when people call his Big Mac obsession crazy. He says he’s in love with the burgers, which are the highlights of his days.

Super High Me

Many of you remember 2004’s Super Size Me where Morgan Spurlock had McDonald’s every meal for 30 days. He documented the effects it had on his body and the results were not that surprising. He went to a doctor and had numerous tests done to see how the food damaged his personal health. He gained over 25 pounds and his cholesterol shot to dangerously high levels.

After smoking weed one day, comedian Doug Benson watched Super Size Me and was inspired.

Super High Me documents Benson not consuming marijuana for 30 days and then smoking and otherwise consuming cannabis every day for 30 days in a row. Benson claims that Super High Me is “Super Size Me with weed instead of McDonalds“. To make sure alcohol wouldn’t affect the results, he didn’t drink for the two months he filmed the documentary. The film also includes interviews with marijuana activists, dispensary owners, politicians and patients who comprise the medical marijuana movement. Benson claims that he tells kids “you should not smoke pot until you become a professional comedian”. The DVD was released on April 20, 2008.

Benson took various tests to gauge his physical and mental health both after 30 days of not using pot and after doing so for 30 days straight. Benson’s physician concluded that Benson’s health was unaffected by his use of cannabis. Benson did gain 8 pounds during his high month, but his sperm count actually increased and he scored seven times better on an ESP test (Seven versus one correct guesses out of 25). His overall score on an SAT test increased, though his math score was slightly lower.

Someone was kind enough to leave a link to download the movie in the comments. Download, watch, and enjoy!!!
