Lamar Odom With The Nastiest Shamgod I Have Ever Seen

Iverson CROSSED THE F$%# UP by Rodney Stuckey

The sound of Iverson’s body hitting the floor after Stuckey paralized his ankles and knees is stuck in my head, playing over and over. Iverson is NOT the player he used to be. There was a nice debate on Rob’s Iverson Rant earlier this month, but plays like this speak for themselves.

He is no longer a force in the NBA.

Allen Iverson: A High School Football Legend

[Guest blog by Paul Wilkins]

As a completely unnatural athlete with little to no inherent speed, strength or skill, I have complete disdain for all athletes with so-called “God-given” abilities. By now, everyone has seen the commercial with LeBron playing wide receiver for the Browns, but a lot of NBA players could be considered in his class of having multi-sport skills. Allen Iverson was Mr. Football in Virginia as a quarterback, cornerback and kick returner, and was considered one of the top recruits in the country, on par with NFL QB Aaron Brooks. However, his career was sidetracked by charges that he beat a woman in the head with a chair at a bowling alley. AI had this to say regarding the alleged fracas, “For me to be in a bowling alley where everybody in the whole place know who I am and be crackin’ people upside the head with chairs and think nothin’ gonna happen? That’s crazy! And what kind of a man would I be to hit a girl in the head with a damn chair? I rather have ’em say I hit a man with a chair, not no damn woman.” Touching words from a complex individual…and I must agree, there is nothing wrong with hitting a man with a chair. But I digress, check this video of AI’s high school football highlights and dream of him breaking ankles on the old gridiron.

NBA Post of the Day

There are a few NBA videos so I’m going to lump them together. First off we have Paul Pierce BREAKIN’ the ANKLES of Nick Collison.

For the sake of the non-basketball fans you can check the other 3 videos after the jump… (more…)

11 Year Old Year Old Phenom

We all know Lebron James was being scouted from a pretty young age. By the time Lebron got to the NBA we probably all felt like we knew his skills and what he brought to the game fairly well. Although it may have been a shock how fast Lebron adapted to the NBA game, there was never a doubt that the young kid from St. Vincent-St.Mary’s prep in Akron, Ohio was going to be an NBA star.

At what age should a player feel assured that standing out from the pack will mean grabbing the attention of scouts, agents, media, and other hangers-on that follow a rising star? These are the types of questions I was pondering after watching the following video of Jayshawn Augusto, an 11-year old hoops phenom who has his heart set on making it to the ‘League’. Check him out:

LeBron James And Chris Paul School Some Youngsters

This summer, the Nike-sponsored LeBron James Skills Academy brought some of the top high school and college players together for a unique clinic with the King. These are some real tight highlights of King James and Chris Paul getting busy with the camp’s college All-Stars, which included Stephen Curry of Davidson (who was the most exciting player of March Madness) and Patrick Beverly of Arkansas.

Besides taking the time to dunk on the college kids, LeBron brakes down some knowledge about working on your game.
