KILLA!

RIP Daymon D.
Another brand new cut off of Cam’ron’s new album Crime Pays, which hits stores May 5th May 12th. We didn’t get to hear any new cuts when he came to Columbus so I’m looking forwarded to the leaked tracks popping up in the next few weeks.

The hype for this show was unbelievable. Some people in Columbus didn’t think the show would happen, but we all knew Killa would come show Ohio some love. We met up at Martin & Shawn’s loft (sheeked out) to have a few drinks before we left. A special thanks goes out to Odes for helping our crew “blend in” at Karma.

We walked to the show around 10:30 and ended up waiting outside for about 15 minutes in the hype line (they actually had a sign up calling it the “Blame it on the Alcohol” line). They let in 2 or 3 people every 5 minutes or so in order to keep a long line outside the club.
Pete and I managed to get inside for free. Don’t ask me how, that’s just how it worked out. We chilled in the front room for about an hour or so. DJ’s started playing and within minutes the whole floor was packed. The first guy who performed was horrible. He threw about $200 into the crowd (I copped $12). Taking that into account I will rate his performance as average. I think the second guy was named Nemesis and definitely was getting love from the crowd. Everyone seemed to know the lyrics and I was a little pissed that half the city (Brittany Hills, Sullivant Avenue) was feeling this dude and I didn’t know any of his music. I’ll have to do some research and see if I can get some of his tracks up on The Grip. This guy was on stage the entire night. (Kind of like this video) The cop car outside was murked out as well.

Around 1:15 AM Cam’ron took the stage. By this time the back room at Karma was packed. I don’t really need to say much about his set. Cam killed it. Check the pics and watch the videos ( I suggest watching them in HQ).

Cam’ron – Make the Trap Say Ay!
I think dude to the right of Cam’ron ate Dipset.

The rumors are true. Cam’ron is playing in Columbus this weekend at Karma. No word on how much tickets will be but you are better off getting there early to avoid paying $50 at the door when it gets crowded inside. His new album drops May 5th so you can expect to hear a bunch of new material at the show.
Here is a new song off some random mixtape I pulled off of Dat Piff.
Cam’ron – Spend The Night (DJ TAGS)
It’s Cam’ron week!
Too bad he didn’t shout out The Grip. Thanks to Young Zach for the heads up on the video.

I know others have posted this song/video but the CDQ just popped up so I figured I would throw it up as well.
I also learned over at the Weed Steeler Blog that Cam’ron is working on a new sitcom that he calls a “Black Curb Your Enthusiasm.” Can’t wait to see that…

Cam’ron finally put out something with that old 2003 Diplomats feel to it. It does seem kind of cartoony but I still dig it.

Finally some new Cam’ron. I’m praying for a mixtape/album in the next few months. RIP Diplomats.

Looks like ya boy is back on his grind again. I’m hoping for a “white” Christmas and a new Juelz album before ‘09. Ay!
Juelz Santana – Go Hard (Freestyle)

Data Entry: The last one I posted wasn’t the full version and now I got it. Give it a listen.
How nice of Cam’ron to give us something current. He drops a freestyle out of nowhere over Wayne’s Let The Beat Build. I’m hoping this is the start of something good. A new Cam’ron album would really make my summer complete.

Finally some new stuff from the almost invisible Cam’ron. Where is this dude? Dipset is basically finished… Let’s hope this means a Killa Season 2 is in the works.
Thanks to Nah Right for the track.
They teamed up for a nice little track. Wouldn’t call it a banger but it’s still aiiiiiight.
Fabolous feat. Lil’ Wayne and Juelz Santana – U Ain’t Got Nothin On Me
Since Dipset is basically dead, I thought I’d have a little Diplomatic Rememberance of what once was…
