You may or may not be familiar with the original video that went viral a while back. I thought it was fake until I stumbled on www.Bangs8.com. Someone was smart enough to book Bangs for a show, who came with a live band (drummer) instead of a DJ. Tough.

I stopped thinking these were funny after the “Iran so Far” one with the dude from Maroon 5. They seemed like they were trying to hard and it just wasn’t working for me. I decided to watch this one this morning and I actually liked it. Hilarious if you ask me.

Going West is a beautiful short film illustrating the worlds in a book, incorporating papercraft to make something dreamlike and wonderful. It was animated by Andersen M Studio.

I’m a huge fan of Wes Anderson films, not too sure if any of you are but whatever.  His latest film is a stop-motion adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr. Fox.  The cast includes George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzmen and Wes Anderson.  Other films by Anderson; Bottle Rocket, Rushmoore, Royal Tenenbaums, Life Aquatic and Darjeeling Limited.

Alright, I feel like this happens to me more than I would think that it should.  Usually when I’m at home I like to put my iTunes on shuffle, it’s really the only way to find things that I haven’t listened to in a while.  So, The Sleepy Jackson came up and got me wondering what the Perth, Australia group had been up to.  Well, if I would have been paying attention, I would have noticed that Sleepy Jackson frontman Luke Steele is 1/2 of the Empire Of The Sun duo, Nick Littlemore being the other.  After re-listening to the album it’s completely obvious… Nick Littlemore is also a member of Pnau and Teenager, Teenager consists of Nick and Pip Brown (aka Ladyhawke)..  Below are a couple of tracks from The Sleepy Jackson’s 2006 release One Was A Spider, One Was A Bird and a weird ass video for Teenager’s track titled “Pony” off of their recent release Thirteen.

On November 20, 2009, at a Borders bookstore in Columbus, Ohio, Sarah Palin held a book signing event in support of “Going Rogue”. Palin’s supporters wanted her to run for the presidency, but they weren’t exactly sure what she’d do as president. Short on specifics, most of them were uncertain what her policy positions are. They just felt that they liked her. She’s “real”. And that the solution to all of our country’s problems—health care, energy, the deficit, unemployment, and the economy—was to cut taxes and lower spending, and Palin, they said, would solve them by doing just that.

The odds are obviously stacked against the goalie, but that doesn’t keep him from getting his juices flowing. After a series of “intimidating cartwheels,” the goalie fails to do his job. Nothing is more rewarding than mocking your opponent after you defeat them.

This could either feel really, really weird or really, really good. Part of me thinks it might be similar to q-tipping your ears (which is amazing), but the liquid part really throws me off. I hate when water goes up my nose at the pool, how am I supposed to voluntarily recreate that feeling???

I didn’t realize this was the same 30 second clip looped over and over, but it’s awesome nonetheless. I definitely miss Fresh Prince of Bel Air and I think season 1 might be my next download.

Ohio State Men’s Basketball player Mark Titus partnered with A Kid Again, a non-profit for children with life threatening illnesses, to produced Club Trillion T-shirts. All proceeds from the Club Trillion project will help children with life threatening illnesses to be … A Kid Again.

For the past 12 years, the Ohio State Men’s Basketball program and A Kid Again have partnered each summer to provide a fun-filled Ohio State Basketball clinic for boys with life threatening illnesses and their fathers. The boys and their fathers are treated just like the Ohio State players for a day. The boys’ names are on a locker in the Ohio State locker room and inside are an OSU shirt, shorts and a basketball. Once the boys are geared up, they sit down for a team meeting with the players and coaches. Then, the players host a mini-clinic teaching the boys how to dribble, shoot free-throws, shoot 3-pointers and even play defense.  After participating in this event, Titus was moved to help provide funding for these special children.

“A Kid Again is able to provide year-round hope and fun for our kids and their families because of the creativity, caring and support of people like Mark Titus,” said Jeff Damron, CEO of A Kid Again. “His unique orations on his Club Trillion blog remind us that we are all empowered to choose our view of life … either one of defeat and disappointment or victory against the odds.
