Wakeskating?
I don’t know if there is an official name for this sport, but in involves a winch and a wakeboard with no straps. Most of the hybrid sports (like mountain boarding) are kind of garbage in my opinion, but this is pretty rad. The only annoying part is walking the tow line back up…
Better Than Ice Cream One Year Anniversary!
Well, my computer crashed the other day and luckily I had everything backed up on an external HD. But, it doesn’t make up for losing all of my playlists and having to re-organize my iTunes. I’m not even sure what all I’ve got in there now, and it SUCKS. So, between that and the fact that today is exactly one year since the first BTIC post. It seems fitting to put together a list of my favorites from 2009. This is actually harder than you’d think since I like it all. It would have been cool to put together some sort of podcast, but I’m terrible with technology. I’ve really enjoyed being able to share some tunes with everyone, so thanks Steve for putting the posts up. The list below is made up of songs that were posted, not other tracks from their respective albums. They’re also not in any particular order, that decision would be too difficult. Cheers!

One Day Before Practice…
I’ve hit some lucky shots in my day, but I’ve never, EVER seen 4 half court shots in a row. Plus you can only find courts that long in about 10-15 gyms in every city and unless you have a key, you ain’t getting in. That’s almost a 3/4 court shot at most gyms I play at.

The Most Athletic Nerd Ever
It’s kind of sad because every single one of these clips is filmed with a tripod. Half of them are in his apartment at God knows what hour. He spends all of his time jugging and jumping around on railings. The amount of practice and patience it takes to master some of those skills is impressive enough, but he’s good at just about everything nerdy I can think of.
Wouldn’t be surprised if I found out he was home schooled.

Just Watch the Girl Playing the Cowbell
Come on. The camera man was standing 4 feet in front of you and you couldn’t even crack a smile? What about a wave to mom and dad? She spent all of high school practicing, hoping to finally make it to the “big stage,” and she gets stuck banging a bell with a stick.
I think she is sad because she didn’t make the cut for the 160+ dance team. There’s always next year.
