Outraged Cyclists Re-Paint Removed Bike Lane
A few sources are reporting that men were arrested yesterday for trying to re-paint a bike lane on a 14-block stretch on Bedford avenue in Brooklyn. The bike lane was recently removed by the city because of complaints by some local groups (the usual stuff about having fewer parkings and “hurting local businesses”). The unknown men made a video (see below) of them doing their guerilla bike safety civil disobedience.

Better Than Ice Cream, Vol. 58 by Wes Keyes
Back in 2000, with their mutual interest in music from the 80′s and 90′s, Philip Ekström, Henrik Ekström, Simon Fransson and Petter Agurén formed The Mary Onettes in Jönköping, Sweden. Since then they’re released three EP’s and their first full length titled Islands that was released just recently. They’ve drawn comparisons to the likes of The Cure, Echo & the Bunnymen and The Church. All the albums are really chill and seem to fit well when the weather takes a turn for the worse… Below are a couple tracks from previous EP’s and a video for “Puzzles” from the new album.

Freakishly Awesome Dancing Robot
What is up with the entire continent of Asia being obsessed with robots? Every other day I see a robot walking down stairs or watering flowers or riding a cat. I guess I can’t complain because this robot can get down.

I don’t give a fuck if you like basketball….you should love Allen Iverson.
I hate family friendly bullshit athletes. Like Shaq and Howard playing out a superman theme. I hate sportswriters more than any other writers. I hate hearing men in their mid 30s that can’t even run in a straight line talk shit on professional athletes that don’t subscribe or fit the mold of what they deem as acceptable for “the game”, the game in which many times they didn’t even have the guts to play themselves.
I can’t say I am the biggest NBA fan, but as of late I have really taken to the league, the personality and entertainment it provides, the aesthetic alone that basketball represents is like no other sport. (more…)
