New Deep Sea Creatures Discovered

These creatures were filmed in the deep sea between 1000/5000 meters deep and most of them are completely new species discovered with a new submarine which was used for the first time to make this documentary.

Definitely looks better in High Quality.

Paint-Less Coca-Cola

Let’s take the daily 2007 numbers from Global INForM Cases Sales database: The total number of Coca-Cola cans sold per worldwide is 67,873,309. Diet Coke and Coke Zero sold 35,387,241, while My Coke sold 103,260,550. Yes, that’s all per day.

So using only classic Coca-Cola’s daily sales figures, that means 24,773,757,785 are sold every year. Twenty-four billion cans. That is indeed a lot of paint and paint removal products. It even looks better if you take into account all kinds of Coke. That brings up the number to 75,380,201,500 cans. I don’t know how much paint that represents, but I’m guessing quite a few thousand tons.

The Marky Mark Workout Video

*pause*

From Wikipedia:

As a teenager, Wahlberg stole cars, abused drugs and alcohol, and got into fights. At fifteen, he was amongst a group who threw rocks at a group of African American school children on a field trip while shouting racial epithets. The following year, Wahlberg robbed a pharmacy while he was under the influence of PCP. During the commission of the crime, he used racial slurs. He knocked one middle aged Vietnamese man unconscious and permanently blinded another in one eye before he was arrested by the police. Wahlberg was tried as an adult and charged for attempted murder. Pleading guilty to the lesser charge of assault, he was sentenced to two years in jail at Boston’s Deer Island House of Correction, of which he served 45 days. In yet another incident, it was alleged the 21-year-old Wahlberg fractured the jaw of a neighbor in an unprovoked attack.

Did NOT know Marky Mark used to get down like that.

How Water Behaves in Space

Astronaut Don Pettit, inventor of the Zero-G Coffee Cup, plays with free-floating, head-sized water bubbles on the International Space Station. Make sure you stick around for the third experiment, where Pettit sticks an antacid tablet into one of the bubbles.

OK Go – WTF?

OK Go has/had one of the most popular internet music videos of all-time under their belts and they continue to impress with their latest release. They have mastered the art of low budget videos that gain maximum exposure. I’m sure these videos combined cost less than $2,000.

This Looks Easy Enough

I’m sure this video is pretty popular on YouTube, but imagine how popular it would have been if he had slipped and did a sailor’s dive into the pavement. That’s what you get for trying to jump from one slippery roof to another.

The Greatest Shootouts in Movie History

I think the shootout from Heat is the unanimous choice for best shootout in movie history. It’s an extremely compelling scene. No music, just REALLY LOUD GUNSHOTS and great camerawork. Michael Mann, the director, had the guns fitted with microphones so that the sound of the gunshots felt louder and clearer. The reloading and tactical decisions the actors make are perfect.

I’d like to nominate the gunfight from A Better Tomorrow 2 as an honorable mention. Maybe the word greatest should be replaced with funniest. Random samurai swords are always the great equalizer.

Black Friday Sale @ Homage

This year Homage is offering $20 T-shirts until Saturday. That’s right, every single T-shirt is available for $20 each with flat rate shipping of $5. I have heard a few Homage related rumors this week. First is that Homage founder Ryan Vesler has joined the OSU Women’s basketball practice squad and the other is that Homage will have a pop-up booth inside the Schottenstein arena for all the OSU basketball home games. I hope they are both true.

Rita’s O-Gee Photos

It’s been a loooooong time since I threw up pictures from O-Gee/Get Right/Whatever. Rita has been kind enough to send over the photos from last weekend at O-Gee. I’m pretty sure we’ll have these after every event she attends, so big ups to Rita!

Check the rest of the photos after the jump… (more…)

Incredible Cigar Box Juggling

One thing Columbus lacks is talented street performers. I have seen a few at Easton over the years, but the Short North is full of acoustic guitars and bongo drums. No one has this kind of authentic showmanship anymore, and If I ever get the chance to witness what happened at 2:30 (unbelievable) in real life, I’ll literally shit my pants.

The Muppets: Bohemian Rhapsody

The Muppets were such a huge part of my childhood. I love this video, but the Beaker cameo really steels the show. Beaker is widely accepted as the greatest muppet character of all-time and if you disagree with this statement, you must not have been home schooled.

KINGSROWE Party Tonight @ Level
