I felt that a little info about The Mountain Goats was appropriate for today. Earlier this month The Life Of The World To Come was released/leaked, I think it brings the list of albums up to about 16 or 17. John Darnielle is the main writer and vocalist for TMG, Peter Hughes and Jon Wurster accompany Darnielle on his musical trip that started in 91′. His lyrics can get pretty deep, crazy, off the wall etc. with that many albums out I’d imagine you’d have to… Anyways, it’s hard to really pick one album or really try to give much background info when there is so much, I like the stuff he did with Vanderslice though, if that counts as picking something out. But, I will say that I definitely enjoy Tallahassee, We Shall Be Healed and Full Force Galesburg. Check out their Myspace and Website for shows in your area and full album listings/pics/ etc..
