Mascot vs. Corny B-Boy

POPPIN’ >>>>>>> BREAKDANCING

That mascot looks 100x tighter than the dude wearing the Billabong shirt and it has nothing to do with the fact that he’s dressed up like a yellow dog. Has anyone ever seen someone look cool while breakdancing? I doubt it. I have a few times and it’s all been on YouTube. Unless you are really, really, REALLY good, you shouldn’t do it in public. Just my personal opinion.

And what’s up with the discrimination at :29? He sayin’ us white folk can’t dance?!

I Don’t Know What This Is, But It’s Awesome

It’s on Vimeo and it’s called Birdy Nam Nam – The Parachute Ending.

Maybe some sort of Justice remix?? I’m not as interested in the song as I am the animated video.

Nike SB – Today Was a Good Day – Extended Version

Extended version of the Nike SB commercial “Today was a Good Day” with Kobe and Koston. I spotted the shorter version of this over at the Weed Steeler Blog a while back and I couldn’t pass on the full version. If you haven’t already, check the Nike Debacle skate video. 25 minutes of amazing.

There is Always Time for a Picture

This is a statement I live by. I’m fascinated/obsessed with taking pictures of me and my friends. The other day I spent about 2 hours going through all my old photos and it was amazing. I probably have about 500 pictures where at least one person is flicking off the camera.

Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe

Bjorn Borg won an unprecedented five consecutive Wimbledon titles– from 1976-1980.  The 1980 Wimbledon final between Borg and McEnroe is easily considered the best and most memorable matchup of all time.  McEnroe seemed to have victory in hand early on, but the Swede proved once again to have more stamina and tenacity– breaking McEnroe down for the win.  Borg was widely considered nearly invincible at the time– his physical conditioning was legendary.

During his reign he also claimed six French Open titles, and even won Wimbledon and the French Open in the same year three times– the only player ever to do so more than once.  Winning both in the same year was even more remarkable because in those days there was only a week of preparation for the grass between the two events.  All these accomplishments came during a time when men’s tennis was brimming with truly great champions– the competition was crushing.

Bjorn Borg was also a bit of an enigma, which added to his charm and appeal.  He suddenly and surprisingly retired at the age of 25, with many great tennis playing years still ahead, after McEnroe handed him a painful defeat at the Wimbledon finals in 1981.  Imagine if Borg he had continued to play? He may very well have become tennis’ greatest champion of all time.

Anthony Napolitan Lands First Ever Double Front-Flip on Megaramp

This week at the Summer X-Games in Los Angeles  one of the most amazing stunts was pulled off. BMX’er Anthony Napolitan was the first ever rider to complete a Double Front-flip. I am amazed when I see how far “extreme sports” have come in the past 10 years.

Shouts to Andy for telling me about this.

Guaranteed to be the Grosses Thing You See All Day

The funny to disgusting ratio on this video is 1/1. It’s hilarious. It’s disgusting. For about 2 seconds she looks like she is wearing a giant puke mask and that is not something you see every day. If I were stuck in that situation I would probably let it fly and cover the entire cockpit with the half digested hotpockets I had for lunch.

India’s “Monkey King” Has Crazy Parkour Skills

A man who taught himself rock climbing and acrobatics to escape poverty in India as become so accomplished he’s been given the title “The Monkey King.”

His speed is amazing and everything from the 30 second mark blew my mind, especially the “I can’t reach it so I’ll flip upside down ON A WALL” move FTW. What’s doubly impressive is that, if that is Chitradurga, he’s probably doing his monkey thing on buildings that are several hundred years old.

Gravity Waves

In the earth’s atmosphere, gravity waves are important for transferring momentum from the troposphere to the mesosphere. Gravity waves are generated in the troposphere by frontal systems or by airflow over mountains. At first waves propagate through the atmosphere without affecting its mean velocity. But as the waves reach more rarefied air at higher altitudes, their amplitude increases, and nonlinear effects cause the waves to break, transferring their momentum to the mean flow.

This process plays a key role in controlling the dynamics of the middle atmosphere. The clouds in gravity waves can look like Altostratus undulatus clouds, and are sometimes confused with them, but the formation mechanism is different.

Class dismissed.
