How to Parallel Park Like a Boss
5 years old and already a better driver than most women. If only everyone could park that well.
I would say people could learn from him, but I don’t want anyone attempting a power-slide near my car.
Kid Catches 2 Foul Balls, 3 Pitches Apart
Texas Rangers fan catches 2 foul balls 3 pitches apart off Josh Hamilton in the bottom of the 5th inning in a Red Sox vs Rangers game. I don’t know the statistical probability of something like this happening, but it’s got to be about as likely as hitting the lottery.
iPhone Road-Rage Rampage
I don’t have an iPhone but if I do get one this will be the first app I download.
Dude goes buck on that mini-van.
90% of U.S. Bills Carry Traces of Cocaine

90%? I almost have a hard time believing that.
In the course of its average 20 months in circulation, U.S. currency gets whisked into ATMs, clutched, touched and traded perhaps thousands of times at coffee shops, convenience stores and newsstands. And every touch to every bill brings specks of dirt, food, germs or even drug residue.
Research presented this weekend reinforced previous findings that 90 percent of paper money circulating in U.S. cities contains traces of cocaine. Scientists say the amount of cocaine found on bills is not enough to cause health risks. Money can be contaminated with cocaine during drug deals or if a user snorts with a bill.
Zuo, who spoke about his research at the national meeting of the American Chemical Society on Sunday, found that $5, $10, $20 and $50 bills were more likely to be positive for cocaine than $1 bills.
“Probably $1 is a little too less to purchase cocaine,” Zuo said “I don’t know exactly [why]. It’s an educated guess.”

Adulture – Friction4

Another brand new demo from Columbus’ own Adulture. He is will be in Chicago until he graduates or gets kicked out of school.
Usain Bolt Sets New World Record in 100m @ 9.58 Seconds
Usain Bolt set a new world record in the 100 meters at the world championships in Berlin this afternoon. He was running into a headwind so there is no doubt he is the fastest human ever. My guess is he’ll run a 9.54 in the next few months.
You’re Worried About Jackhammers?
What about the effects that cigarette will have on your unborn child? Really, Mellisa? That didn’t cross your mind, you Douglas-riding sorry excuse for a mom? Your name should be Tammy. Or Tina.

Come Celebrate With Us This Friday!
This Friday I have the great pleasure of marrying the most incredible, intelligent, and beautiful woman in the world, my best friend (and soon to be wifey) Lindsay. Our reception ends at midnight and we will be heading directly to Ringside Cafe (by Tip Top and Due Amici) for a few late night drinks. We would love to see everyone before our honeymoon, so stop by if you feel like having a drink with the newlyweds! It’s a normal cash bar and we will have music provided by the Official Home School iPod.
A BIG thanks to Odes for hooking us up with the flyer!

The Low Down on the Slow Down
The Grip will be dormant for about the next 10 days for my wedding and honeymoon in Mexico. Obviously I’ll have my laptop with me on the beach but I don’t plan on updating very often. Enjoy the break from my stupid ass blog and be sure to check out a few of my personal favorite sites while I’m gone.

Tune in Tuesdays with CJ Townsend

SO, I’m super late on the “Music Monday” this week, I was at Lollapolooza…Sorry. I guess it only makes sense to do a Lolla edition of ‘Music Mondays” this week. Here’s songs from my favorite acts who performed last weekend.
Royksopp – Happy Up Here (Boyz Noize Remix)
Laidback Luke & Diplo – Hey (Sonic Truth Remix)
“Crossing the Ohio River”
From Danny Lyon’s The Bikeriders in which he chronicles his travels as a member of the Chicago Outlaws Motorcycle Club.

Better Than Ice Cream, Vol. 41 by Wes Keyes

I’m going to apologize right now for this being so short, but this is a busy week. Sarsaparilla, a tasty drink and today’s artist. Philly native Brian Miller has been spending his time between the US and Berlin for the past I don’t know how many years. It’s been difficult trying to find a bio of him anywhere, maybe I just didnt look that hard. Either way, the music is good. Vocals are whispered and slow and fit well with a rainy day, a little more folkish Jose Gonzalez. You can check out http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/sarsaparilla4 to pick up his other albums or head to his MySpace for a free download of Ebb. Happy Tuesday…
This is My Kind of Yard Sale
I saw this just around the corner from my old crib. I rode past it and immediately turned around when I saw what looked to be a yard sale selling “books, swords, acoustic guitar.” It’s not every day you find that kind of selection at a Columbus yard sale.

Photo Bombing at its Best
I saw this at just about every site on the internet today…
…but it looked the best at Odes’ blog.

LED Spray Paint
Hao is a handy light specially dedicated to light-writting. By French designer Aissa Logerot. It shaped like a bottle of spray paint, the LED light can change colors and brightness on the fly and while it’s powered by an internal battery that can be charged by shaking of the can.
“Graffiti artists can conserve their own gesture they have with an aerosol spray. It is possible to change the color and the brightness of the led to change the graffiti’s styles. If the light doesn’t have enough battery, the user must shake it to have energy again.”

Best Fake Punt Ever
Normally the punter is one of the least agile and athletic players on the team, but AJ Trapasso (former Ohio State player) had some wheels on him there at the end! Football will have to do until basketball starts again…
Red Bull Manny Mania 2009 – Columbus AM
I’m a little surprised I didn’t see any familiar faces in the video.
O.J. Hays – 1st
Cody Cepeda – 2nd
Jeff Trasin – 3rd
Hyperizers – Don’t Criticize (Hyperize)
Mo Williams aka Fog Raw, Kevin Durant aka Velvet Hoop, Rashard Lewis aka Ice-O, and Andre Iguodala aka Chief Blocka recorded a brand new song called “Don’t Criticize (Hyperize)” for Nike. Velvet Hoop kills his verse but the gold medal video performance goes to Fog Raw. That jheri curl is extra-fly.
Thanks to Mark for the link!
SPIDERMAN GETS BROKE
I really needed a video like this today. Watching some guy dressed as spiderman break himself off in front of a bunch of kids was very therapeutic. It’s like, “Hey, this probably won’t happen to you today, good work.”
Cat Loves Massages
It’s Saturday and I don’t have time to sit around on the computer, so here’s another cat video.
ENJOY.

How Do You Enter The Shower?
#3 for me. Chilling out naked is my bag baby, it’s the scientific method and it gives me a minute to expel my bowels. My SCIENCE BOWELS!
What, you’ve never done the shit, stomp, and mash?
