Roller Skates on a Roller Coaster
Adrenaline junkie Dirk Auer has set a new world record by in-line skating down a roller coaster. Wearing specially designed in-line skates, Dirk made the attempt on the Mammoth roller coaster at the Trips Drill theme park in Stuttgart, Germany. Reaching speeds of 90km/h (56mph), Dirk skated the 860 metre track in just over one minute.
REALLY surprised I didn’t see a single Red Bull sticker. More photos here.

Hot Air Balloon Timelapse
My fascination with time lapse videos never ends. This one makes the hot air balloons look like jellyfish bobbing around in the ocean. I still haven’t figured out how they drive those things. If the wind is blowing you south, how do you get back to the north where you took off?
Intervention: I’m Walking on Sunshine
If you ever feel the need to watch an episode of intervention, make sure it’s the one about Alison, the girl addicted to canned air. Most people go ham on meth, heroin, crack or cocaine, but this girl prefers to buy her drugs from Home Depot. She huffs something like 10 cans a day? Can’t really remember but she is a bonafied trainwreck.
Greatest Freakout Ever Part 5
I am starting to hear this kid yelling in my dream. This might be my favorite one so far. If I was his dad I would have beaten him to a bloody pulp a long time ago. “You have a freaking boner for the freaking camera!” Sounds like someone I know…
Top 10 Buzzer Beaters of 2009
Does anyone else hate how all the plays on ESPN’s Top 10 are baseball? At least we only have to wait another month or two for college football. Then basketball…
Pause Police: The Greatest Business Card Ever
I… I don’t even know what to say. There are so many things going on in this picture that I don’t even know where to start. I’m thinking someone needs to call Dexter Ivy in Harlem at the number listed below and let me know how it goes.
Shouts to @EazyEDot for the pic!

Banned Sprite BJ Ad (NSFW)
There isn’t any nudity in the commercial, but it’s suggestive enough to be a porno. There are always crazy ass commercials that say “banned in _______” all over the Internet, but you’d be stupid to think they ACTUALLY made the ad for TV. They’re made for viral marketing, pure and simple.
Thanks to Wes for the link.
Better Than Ice Cream, Vol. 36 by Wes Keyes

Alright, sorry about the hiatus… I’ll have quite a bit of stuff coming this week to make up for my lack of posts last week. Now, moving on. There are two Silver Lake, California’s. One is a super small town east of Yosemite National Park, the other a district east of Hollywood. The latter is home to today’s band, Local Natives. They just finished their first album which is untitled and they’re unsigned. I can’t wait to hear the album in it’s entirety. They recently did shows in the UK, Toronto, Montreal and a few other spots before returning to LA. They’re playing a showcase at Spaceland every Monday in August, so if you happen to be in LA, it would be a sweet FREE show. For more info check out their MySpace and you can check out their blog for more info and pics.

Kid Cudi feat. Common & Kanye West – Make Her Say (Poke Her Face)
Is it just me or is Cudi feel himself just a little too much? I know he was supposed to be the leader of the new pack, but Wale and Drake are wayyyyy ahead if you ask me. Other than Day ‘N’ Night (which was hard because of the beat and the remix) I can’t recall a memorable verse or song. That’s just me though. People probably hate Kanye more than Cudi!
Greatest Freakout Ever Part 4
I feel I’m obligated to post every video this kid puts out. The last 2 videos made me think they are real but this video just seems fake to me. I know there are trainwrecks like this out there, I’ve just grown to be skeptical of 80% of what is on the Internet.
Shipping Eco-Friendly Products in Multifunctional Packages

This simple design is a great example of green packaging. It solves many common problems associated with excess bulky cardboard shipping boxes such as providing a sturdier packaging for shipping shirts, making it easy to recycle, and having it transform into something reusable, sustainable, and useful that works with the object in the package.
The HangerPak’s conventional exterior with curved-and-folded ends to keep the inside wares from crumpling. Flip it over and it reveals a simple set of instructions for converting the cardboard shell into a shirt or coat hanger within a few short steps.
Worst Movie Ending Ever
Quite possibly the worst movie ending ever in the history of Film. Marlon Jacksons’ campy, uncomfortable, nauseating ending with Richard Horian, the actor and director of the movie Student Confidential.
“But next time we meet, I want to tell you something I do know about: How to make inordinate amounts of money in the world of business.”
“Alright, put her there!”
Ink Calendar by Oscar Diaz

Spanish designer Oscar Diaz has designed a calendar that uses the capillary action of ink spreading across paper to display the date. It uses capillary action to suck ink across the numbers embossed on the page, one day at a time, gradually coloring itself in over the month. Amazing idea, but I think it’s accuracy would start to diminish towards the end of the month.

Gemballa Mirage GT Matt Edition
This is the latest Mirage GT to come out of Porsche tuner, Gemballa’s garage. The Carrera GT may well have ceased production on May 6, 2006 but Gemballa are still finding enough interest in their Mirage kits to create a new one every now and again.
This Mirage GT has 650bhp and is capable of 0-100kph (62mph) in 3.7 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than the standard car. 0-200 kph is also dealt with in 0.2 seconds less, 9.7 seconds in total. It tops out at 335 kph (208mph).

9 Minute Video of a Monkey Learning to Skateboard
So many classic moments in this video. I was mad impressed when he was pulling that one legged move! I’m pretty sure this is the same monkey who learned how to ride the segway. I read an article saying that he learned how to do a Crieger flip.
Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of one of Mankind’s Greatest Achievements with the Homage “For All Mankind” Shirt, Buzz Loves it!
“When we first set foot on the Moon on July 20, 1969, millions of people around the world were inspired by seeing the dreams of centuries realized. Five hundred years from now, our descendants in a far star system may look back at this time and at the Earth and say, ‘Here was where history began.’” – Buzz Aldrin
On July 20th, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to walk on the moon. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of one of mankind’s greatest achievements, HOMAGE proudly releases the limited edition “For All Mankind” graphic shirt. Pay Homage.

Straight Bum Genius
If he were a genius he wouldn’t be standing in front of a chain link fence. Maybe it’s part of his plan. The people throwing quarters don’t have easy access to retrieve them and he can safely collect his loot later in the abandoned lot behind the fence. But why would you throw a quarter at him and try to get it back? Maybe if you pulled some David vs. Goliath type move and knocked the fool out. Then you could jack his cash and head to an arcade.

Dude is a Surgeon with a Shotgun
I feel bad for the person who accidentally robs a gas station while this guy is outside fueling up. He would probably blow off each of his hands and then blast off one foot to immobilize him.
Passion Pit – To Kingdom Come
Brand new video from the oh-so-hot Passion Pit crew. They’ve kind of blown up in the past year or so due to he success of their album Manners. It’s Gripworthy and I’d recommend it to anyone. This song is pretty good and it’s not even in my top 3 songs from the album.
