Clipse feat. Kanye West – Kinda Like a Big Deal
I think Clipse should release an album every single year.
Grindin’.
Triumph The Insult Comic Dog @ Bonnaroo
Unfortunately I am not able to attend any music festivals this summer so I’m stuck watching Triumph make fun of hippies. It isn’t the same but it will have to do. I’m pretty sure you have to watch some 15 second ad, which sucks because I wont see a penny.
Tired of Wiping Your Ass? Get the Comfort Wipe!
Wow. Just… Wow. I’m sure someone is actually going to make a decent amount of money off this product, but there is no way in hell that thing gives you a clean wipe. If you use one of these, I predict dookie stains and skid marks in your future. Seriously, there is nothing “sanitary” about dragging an wipe-extender through your buttcrack. The old-fashioned method of wiping has worked fine for me all these years, and like they say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
The Situation in Iran
It seems that most people are oblivious to what is going on in Iran, a country where 60% of the population is under the age of 30. Videos and pictures floating around the internet are disturbing reminders of the chaos and civil unrest happening on the opposite side of the globe. This picture is one of the few I’ve seen where you can see the hope in the situation.

Lily Allen – F*ck You
I don’t think I’ve ever posted anything from Lily Allen before, and I probably wont ever again. It’s actually a pretty catchy song and I like the video. Actually it’s Sunday and I can’t find anything to post. People should seriously think about guest blogging more often.
Wale’s Back to the Feature Mixtape

Brand new mixtape from DC native Wale (Wah-lay). Not too much to say about this one. If you’ve been sleeping on Wale, wake the f%!$ up, download the album, and pretend you’ve been bumpin’ him since ’08.

Sometimes I’m hungry, running late, and obligated to post some sort of content on to my blog.
This is one of those times.
Mom Cancels WoW Account, Kid Turns Into Alien
I normally wouldn’t post something like this but it’s Saturday and this only has about 13,000 views right now. It will be well over 1,000,000 in no time. Someone tell this kid to stop “freaking out.”
Better Than Ice Cream, Vol. 32 by Wes Keyes

Wow! I still don’t feel normal. It must be residual Red Bull from that damn bus last night… Anyways, Steve’s post about the Noisettes reminded me of another band that I just realized played Beachland Wednesday night. That was bad timing on my part, sorry. In 1994, singer Rachel Nagy joined The Detroit Cobras who had already been playing together. “Combining girl-group hooks and harmonies with high-octane, Motor City garage rock, the Detroit Cobras conjure the 1960s era of Top 40 AM radio and vinyl 45s…singer Rachel Nagy has attitude to burn and the mixed-gender band plays with plenty of rough-hewn energy.” —AMAZON.COM
They’ve put out four albums, including their most recent, 2007′s Tied & True. The track below is from their first album titled Mink Rat or Rabbit which was released in 1998.. Enjoy your weekend…

♫ E-603 // Mashup Artist ♫

Who is better, E-603 or Girl Talk? Be prepared to hear that argument a lot in the future. E-603 is an up and coming mashup artist that will never escape comparisons to Girl Talk. I’ve read a handful of reviews and the general consensus seems to be that E-603 puts on better live shows than Girl Talk, and if you’ve ever been to a GT show (I’ve been to 3), you know that is saying a lot.
He has two albums out and both are 100% free. Here are a few preview tracks as well as links to the albums. His first album Something for Everyone is pretty good but his sophomore release Torn Up is really, really, really good. Download, enjoy, and be on the lookout for upcoming shows. These tracks are all from Torn Up.

Bong Spirit Premium Vodka

From the Bong Vodka website:
Bong Spirit’s Super Premium Vodka fuses together a wave of progressive fashion and designer attitude with an age-old Dutch product of exceptional quality. Its artisanal formula has been handed down through five generations of master distillers and produced through a 150 year old manual process, rich with traditional standards and superior craftsmenship. This distinctive character serves to unite those of various lifestyles together in spirit, by way of expressionism and appreciation for ultramodern music, art, and culture.
HAHAHA the bottle looks like a bong. Visit the website here or have a bottle shipped to your house here. At $27 and $37 a pop, I’m ordering one for myself.
Unrelated but kind of tight, Samurai Vodka.

Snake Wine

Snake wine is an alcoholic beverage that includes a whole venomous snake in the bottle. It originated in Vietnam and can be found around Southeast Asia. The snakes, preferably venomous ones, are usually not preserved for their meat. They are preserved to have the snake poison dissolved in the liquor. However, because snake venom is protein-based, they are unfolded and therefore inactivated due to the influence of the denaturing effects of ethanol.
A large venomous snake can be placed into a glass jar of rice wine, often with many smaller snakes, turtles, insects, or birds, and left to steep for many months. The wine is drunk as a restorative in small shots or cups.
The body fluids of snakes are mixed into wine and consumed immediately in the form of a shot. Snake blood wine is prepared by slicing a snake along its belly and draining its blood into a mixing vat with rice wine or grain alcohol. Snake bile wine is done through a similar method by using the contents of the gall bladder. Snake meat, liver, and skin can be prepared to accompany the drinks. BARF.

Vasili Mikhailovich Blokhin – The Most Prolific Official Executioner in Recorded World History
Vasili Mikhailovich Blokhin (1895 – February 1955) was a Soviet Major-General who served as the chief executioner of the Stalinist NKVD under the administrations of Genrikh Yagoda, Nikolai Yezhov and Lavrenty Beria. Hand-picked for the position by Joseph Stalin in 1926, Blokhin led a company of executioners that performed the majority of executions carried out during Stalin’s reign (most during the Great Purge). Claims by the Soviet government put the number of NKVD official executions at 828,000 during Stalin’s reign, and Blokhin is recorded as having personally executed tens of thousands of prisoners by his own hand over a 26-year period—including 7,000 condemned Polish POWs in one protracted mass execution—making him ostensibly the most prolific official executioner in recorded world history. He was awarded both the Order of the Mark of Honor (1937) and the Order of the Red Banner (1941).
Blokhin’s most notable performance was the April 1940 mass execution by shooting of 7,000 Polish officers, captured following the Soviet invasion of Poland, from the Ostashkov POW camp, during the Katyn massacre. Based on the 4 April secret order from Stalin to NKVD Chief Lavrenti Beria (as well as NKVD Order № 00485, which still applied), the executions were carried out in 28 consecutive nights at the specially-constructed basement execution chamber at the NKVD headquarters in Kalinin (now Tver), and were assigned, by name, directly to Blokhin, making him the official executioner of the NKVD.
Blokhin initially decided on an ambitious quota of 300 executions per night, and engineered an efficient system in which the prisoners were individually led to a small antechamber—which had been painted red and was known as the “Leninist room”—for a brief and cursory positive identification, before being handcuffed and led into the execution room next door. The room was specially designed with padded walls for soundproofing, a sloping concrete floor with a drain and hose, and a log wall for the prisoners to stand against. Blokhin—outfitted in a leather butcher’s apron, cap, and shoulder-length gloves to protect his uniform—then pushed the prisoner against the log wall and shot him once in the base of the skull with a German Walther Model 2 .25 ACP pistol. He had brought a briefcase full of his own Walther pistols, since he did not trust the reliability of the standard-issue Soviet TT-30 for the frequent, heavy use he intended. The use of a German pocket pistol, which was commonly carried by Nazi intelligence agents, also provided plausible deniability of the executions if the bodies were discovered later.
I Tried This Myself, Didn’t Go As Planned
For some reason I really thought this would be a simple thing to learn. I threw it off the porch twice and almst broke a few of my fingers. I should have filmed it.
♫ The Noisettes – Never Forget You ♫

I’ve always been a big oldies fan. My dad used to crank them back in the day and I’m still struggling to find all those classic MP3′s. The Noisettes have that classic soul sound with a punk/indie edge. Kind of loving this right now. The girl kind of has that Amy Winehouse/Tina Turner thing going on. The only album I could find is called What’s The Time.

Better Than Ice Cream, Vol. 31 by Wes Keyes

Seattle, the Emerald City, birth place to Sir Mix-a-Lot, great coffee and my second home. Seattle is known for its music scene throughout the years, contributing countless artists and the creation of musical movements. Brothers Garnet and Snow Keim, joined by drummer Bob Husak are The Blakes, and join the ranks of great Seattle based musicians. Best known for their gritty, Iggy Pop, garage style sound they’ve released multiple EP’s as well as a self titled LP The Blakes in 2007. There is a 5 song limited edition EP available on their MySpace and they’re working to release another album later this summer. Snow and Garnet have a side project with a more mellow slow sound called Beads that released an album titled No One Knows. There aren’t any upcoming tour dates, except for maybe a random show in Seattle somewhere.
Surfer Almost Gets Pitted (So Pitted) by Jetski
Gnarly clip of a surfer who almost gets smashed by the jetski he towed in on. It looks like he spots the jetski at the last second and ducks his head to avoid decapitation. If you enjoy this clip, be sure to check out the greatest surfer clip of all-time.
Baubike

BauBike is inspired by Bauhaus design.
It is constructed around the geometric shape of the square and the equilateral triangle. The design is stripped down to clean lines and raw material.
The open-end piece above the back wheel, offers the possibility to customize the function of the bike to whatever need you may have. The different accessories can be placed in the tube and can easily be changed if needed.
The design follows a set of formal rules, limiting the geometry to straight lines in a pattern of 60 and 90 degree angles in proportions following the principle of the golden section.
By limiting the form with a fixed set of design rules and stepping away from the traditional function-oriented approach to the design process, this project transcends the border between design and art, raising fundamental questions about the nature of the bike as design and as a lifestyle accessory and introducing a much needed playfulness on the bicycle scene.
The BauBike is a bike for the modern urban society where adaptability is a necessity.
