Three weeks ago (or maybe it was four?) I was emailed about a band called Vampire Hands. Other than the fact that they’re from Minnesota and have the same manager as Tapes N’ Tapes, I didn’t know much about them. The vocals sound like they were sung down a long hallway and for an old school rockish type sound, they manage to come off fairly mellow. They played SXSW in last month and a few shows with Wavves promoting their new/upcoming album Hannah In The Mansion. Below are a couple tracks from the new album (Thanx Keri) Check’em out…

I found a bunch of music today so I figured I would throw it all up in one post. The first track is from Talib Kweli and features, in my opinion, the best sample ever in a hip hop song. Obviously there are hundreds of contenders, but this is my personal favorite. Oldie but goodie.
Next up we have a BRAND NEW TRACK from Clipse, Kanye West, and the artist KAWS. Not really sure what KAWS has to do with it other than the artwork.

How have I never seen this clip before? It’s around 4 minutes long, so skip to :35, 1:50, and 3:05 (where Bob Barker eventually cracks up). The last one is definitely the best. The crowd reaction is priceless.

4/20 + Dime-A-Dog Night = Stoners Everywhere
Huntington Park, the new Clipper stadium in the Arena District, is now open. Last week I realized that Dime-a-Dog night and 4/20 happen to fall on the same day. Coincidence? I don’t think so. Stoners have taken over The Clippers’ marketing department. Don’t be surprised if the team manager forgets to bring the bats because he’s been blowing chron since 9:30 in the morning.
