P. Diddy Confused By $1 Bill
Diddy was sitting courtside at Madison Square Garden when the picture was taken which makes me think he paid some corny dude to take it. Either way, I find a dollar bill in my wallet and I’m excited. Diddy probably hasn’t spent a $1 bill in 10 years. I bet he puts his gum into it and tosses it out the window.

Skateistan – Afghanistan’s First Skateboarding School
For over two years Oliver Percovich has worked to create Skateistan, Afghanistan’s first skateboarding school. Many of these children have never had the opportunity to play a sport. I think this is an amazing way for someone to make an impact on the community.

Aaron Behrens and Thomas Turner are the minds behind Austin based Ghostland Observatroy. A throwback to 80′s synth rock and electro punk, Ghostland brings to the stage a sound like no other. With their first release delete. delete. i. eat. meat in 2005 and Paparazzi Lightning coming close to a year later, Ghostland made waves on the national music scene with appearances on Austin City Limits and Conan. They continue to push the musical envelope with their 2008 release of Robotique Majestique. Musical influences such as Bowie, Laurent Garnier, LCD and the Clash keep their sound new yet vintage.
When asked by Spin magazine what makes this duo work, their reply was, “We like they way each other look naked.” As talk turns to their onstage demeanor, the cape weilding Turner and swaggering Behrens encourage audience members to “lose their egos” when dancing at shows. My only hope is that they’ll make a stop in C-Bus sometime soon! The two songs below include one from both “Paparazzi Lightning” and “Robotique Majestique”.
